FACTS update required to retain Fatcs Qulaified Advisor Status. If you passed Facts since 2014 you have two years from the date of exam to complete NMP training and on-line assessment. FQA who qualified between 2012 and 2014 have until December 2017 to complete the NMP training plus online assessment. 24 CPD points over 2 years

Duration: 2 days (plus examination)

Who is this course for? Advisers, farmers, farm managers who wish to improve their awareness, knowledge and skills in arable crop production and management.  

This course has been introduced as core Continued Professional Development (CPD) training to prepare FACTS Qualified Advisors (FQA’s) to manage the challenges of the Water Framework Directive (associated initiatives and regulations), greenhouse gas mitigation strategies and soil protection, while also improving farm profitability.

FACTS Qualified Advisers (FQA) who have qualified since 2014 have two years from the date of their exam to complete their NMP training and on-line assessment.

FQA’s who qualified between 2012-2014 have until December 2017 to complete the NMP training plus on-line assessment.

Anyone who has not completed their NMP training and online assessment will lose their FACTS Qualified Advisor (FQA) status and become FACTS Subscribers (useful for farmers self-advising and those not giving any actual field advice) 

The module can be used towards the BASIS Diploma in Agronomy

Course Modules: Achieving crop nitrogen utilisation efficiency, Managing farm phosphorus, Techniques for in field nutrient management, Efficient use of manures and other organic materials, Integration of nutrient management decisions with environmental regulations and policies, including nutrient planning and record keeping. Fertiliser Industry Assurance Scheme (FIAS) and farm security

Assessment

A Web Based Assessment will be made available to all those who have completed the six CPD training modules and all those who subsequently complete the course.

Successful completion of the Web Based Assessment will be necessary if members wish to retain their FQA Status.

To rejoin the FQA list, members will need to attend all 6 CPD training modules and take the exam: written paper and panel viva
