Who is the Course For? Anyone employed in agriculture, horticulture, landscaping and grounds maintenance who is required to operate woodchippers. Course members should be able to read. This is a hands-on course that delivers both practical skills and health and safety as well as demonstrating that you and your employer have completed sufficient training to meet the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER).

Course Content: Health and Safety Executive legislation and safety guideline, personal protective equipment, maintenance requirements. preparation of work area, techniques to chip different types of timber safely and effectively, removing blockages, disposal of woodchips and the various end uses of woodchips, preparation of machine for transport and storage.
